The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacBitch fails to land the takedown.
MacBitch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around van der Burgt's waist but van der Burgt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing MacBitch off to one side.
MacBitch closes this distance looking for a takedown but van der Burgt circles away.
Jonathan van der Burgt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sonofa MacBitch.
Good work by MacBitch as he checks the leg kick.

van der Burgt is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, MacBitch has managed to escape the submission attempt.
MacBitch keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
van der Burgt thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
van der Burgt blocks MacBitch's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
van der Burgt has control of MacBitch's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and MacBitch regains control of the situation pretty easily.

van der Burgt with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
MacBitch gets back to half guard.
MacBitch is trying is best to control the position here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
MacBitch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. van der Burgt is working away from the top position though.
van der Burgt is looking for a kimura but MacBitch is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for van der Burgt to get the leverage.
van der Burgt is breathing heavily.
van der Burgt in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. MacBitch tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from van der Burgt!
