Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juliano Esquivel (ranked 4006 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Kasperski (ranked 3484 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Juliano Esquivel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dawid Kasperski!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esquivel moves in looking to clinch but Kasperski pushes him off.
Kasperski looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Juliano Esquivel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dawid Kasperski.
Kasperski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Esquivel as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Esquivel went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Esquivel tries to clinch but Kasperski is having none of it.
Despite the aggression on Kasperski's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Esquivel jumps guard but Kasperski stands there with Esquivel around his waist. Esquivel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Esquivel pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Kasperski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Esquivel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kasperski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Esquivel defends it nicely.

Kasperski is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Kasperski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Esquivel walks away with a smile on his face. Kasperski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Esquivel is defended easily by Kasperski.

Esquivel seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Esquivel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kasperski has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kasperski and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Esquivel leaves Kasperski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Esquivel throws a big counter combination but Kasperski scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Kasperski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kasperski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Esquivel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kasperski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kasperski takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Kasperski shoots in for a takedown but Esquivel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Esquivel takes the fight into the clinch.
Kasperski jumps guard but Esquivel stands there with Kasperski around his waist. Kasperski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Esquivel is pressed up against the cage. Kasperski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Esquivel down to the mat. Esquivel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Esquivel throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Kasperski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Esquivel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Esquivel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kasperski sprawls well initially but Esquivel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Esquivel passes the guard and advances to mount!
BOOM! Esquivel connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Esquivel wants to get back to his feet but Kasperski is holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Esquivel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kasperski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Esquivel is in Kasperski's guard.
Kasperski is wriggling around but Esquivel manages to pass to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Esquivel's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Juliano Esquivel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Esquivel is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kasperski is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
