Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Burton Melton (ranked 5439 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvator Linus (ranked 5829 p4p, 0 weight class). Burton Melton is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Melton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Linus seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Linus pulls Melton in close to his closed guard and prevents Melton from doing any damage or advancing position.

Linus is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Melton keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Linus wants to finish this one by submission but Melton is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Linus.

Linus has control of Melton's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Melton regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Linus is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Melton knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Melton for a finish.

That's time! Melton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Melton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Linus has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Melton should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Linus has tightened it up now! Melton should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
