The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell moves in looking to clinch but Perez Jr pushes him off.
Perez Jr goes for a double leg but Russell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Russell continues to drive forward.
Russell is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Russell leaves Perez Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Perez Jr drives through with a takedown into Russell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Russell wants to stand and escape but instead Perez Jr has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Russell wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Perez Jr manages to pass to side control.

Russell throws a combination. Perez Jr tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Perez Jr has Russell pressed against the cage, preventing Russell from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Russell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Perez Jr.
Perez Jr shoots in but Russell avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Perez Jr shoots in looking for a takedown but Russell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Perez Jr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
