Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matheo Rojas (ranked 2079 p4p, 238 weight class) and Raymond Donde (ranked 1483 p4p, 185 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raymond Donde!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rojas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Donde.
Rojas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rojas wants it to stay on the feet.
Donde fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rojas avoids it really well and circles away.
Rojas throws a big shot that misses.
Rojas throws a right and a left that Donde avoids nicely.

Donde shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rojas napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Donde works to advance to full mount. Rojas defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Donde goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rojas rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Donde's guard! Nice work there by Rojas!

Donde is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Donde is pressing down on Rojas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rojas is holding on for now.
Rojas tries to roll over but Donde keeps him under control.
Rojas is doing well to control the position and prevent Donde from advancing to side control.
Rojas wants to get back to his feet.

Donde looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rojas is trying to get back to full guard.
Donde wants to free his trapped foot but Rojas is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Donde passes to full mount!

Donde has hold of Rojas's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rojas manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Donde is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Rojas is in real trouble.
Rojas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Donde on the ground.

Rojas is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Donde gets his way!
