Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vince Sanchez (ranked 24815 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Lee (ranked 5773 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vince Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Lee!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Topper Green and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sanchez was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sanchez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sanchez wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Lee has Sanchez up against the cage in a clinch.
Sanchez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lee to keep the fight standing.
Sanchez is pressed up against the cage. Lee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sanchez down to the mat. Sanchez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lee wants to stand but Sanchez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard.

Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lee wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sanchez manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sanchez in particular looking to stall.
Lee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sanchez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lee has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vince Sanchez will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Sanchez makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lee really felt that one!
Chris Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sanchez tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it.

Sanchez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sanchez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sanchez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lee has managed to get both his arms back between Sanchez's legs - danger averted.

Vince Sanchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanchez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
