Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fausto Carsara (ranked 1393 p4p, 168 weight class) and Lew Rockwell (ranked 1192 p4p, 151 weight class). Carsara comes to the cage accompanied by E'sord Luché. Rockwell has chosen Like a Rock as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carsara misses with a body punch

and Rockwell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Carsara is defending against the submission attempts here by Rockwell.
Rockwell prevents Carsara from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rockwell is looking to take a break and control but Carsara is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rockwell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rockwell is pressing down on Carsara's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carsara is holding on for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rockwell uses his free foot to push down on Carsara's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Carsara.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rockwell is looking to work his way around to Carsara's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Rockwell swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Carsara is now in Rockwell's guard. A big mistake from Rockwell there, giving up the dominant position!
Carsara knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rockwell on the ground.

Rockwell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Carsara is sitting in close to Rockwell's body. Rockwell has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Carsara is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Carsara is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rockwell.
