Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dieter Schmidt (ranked 1593 p4p, 203 weight class) and Henrique Ramos (ranked 1333 p4p, 169 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ramos's choice of entrance music: Sepultura - Nomad. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dieter Schmidt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henrique Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ramos to score with a decent uppercut.
Ramos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schmidt connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ramos scoring well with a low kick there.
Ramos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schmidt was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Schmidt throws a jab when Ramos was well out of range.
Ramos misses the jab.
Ramos scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Ramos closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Schmidt quickly recovers to half guard.
Schmidt wants to control but Ramos is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Schmidt is not content to let Ramos control the position.
Ramos stalling away here and it's allowed Schmidt to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schmidt controls Ramos momentarily but Ramos frees himself.

Ramos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Ramos looking to improve position, pressing down on Schmidt's thigh with his hand. Schmidt seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Ramos paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Ramos's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Schmidt picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
