Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Hemingway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Birk Smygare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ernest Hemingway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Birk Smygare!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemingway tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smygare paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smygare is looking to clinch but Hemingway is avoiding it.

Hemingway takes the fight into the clinch.
Hemingway tries to break the clinch but Smygare is controlling the position.
Hemingway is pressed up against the cage. Smygare has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hemingway down to the mat. Hemingway avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Birk Smygare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smygare throws a head kick that misses.

Smygare closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hemingway to the mat! Hemingway manages to get full guard.

Smygare is looking to clinch but Hemingway is avoiding it.

Smygare has control of Hemingway's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hemingway regains control of the situation pretty easily.
BOOM! Smygare connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Smygare is landing with some decent strikes but Hemingway is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hemingway sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Birk Smygare showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Smygare thows a huge punch but Hemingway dodges it nicely.

Smygare is nestled in close to Hemingway, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hemingway has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smygare is working away from the top position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Smygare throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hemingway's waist but Hemingway gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smygare off to one side.
Smygare tries to bum rush Hemingway with a series of wild strikes but Hemingway uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

And that's the end of the fight!
Birk Smygare comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Smygare has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
