Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Monte Casanova (ranked 2748 p4p, 303 weight class) and Didier Misalooba (ranked 3472 p4p, 356 weight class). Misalooba has chosen Beyond the Black as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Didier Misalooba!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misalooba looks to land a combination but Casanova avoids it well.
Misalooba lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Casanova shoots in for a takedown but Misalooba shows good takedown defense.
Misalooba scores with the left hand. Casanova knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Monte Casanova has been cut.
Misalooba tries to clinch up but Casanova circles away and keeps his distance.

Casanova could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Casanova is nestled in close to Misalooba, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Casanova wants to free his trapped foot but Misalooba is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Casanova has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Casanova cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been hearing good reports from Casanova's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Misalooba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Casanova. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've been informed that Misalooba has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Casanova is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Casanova distracts Misalooba with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Casanova misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Misalooba jabs Casanova right on the nose. Casanova blinks but takes it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Casanova.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monte Casanova. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Misalooba counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Casanova is rocked!
Misalooba has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oh Casanova is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Misalooba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Misalooba finds Casanova's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Casanova flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Misalooba lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Casanova will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Didier Misalooba!
A very excited looking Didier Misalooba made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
