Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Benn Jr (ranked 2170 p4p, 321 weight class) and Ronald Fredrick (ranked 2153 p4p, 318 weight class). Fredrick has chosen Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Nigel Benn Jr has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nigel Benn Jr seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Benn Jr checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Fredrick bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Benn Jr slips a jab and a cross from Fredrick.
Fredrick looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Benn Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Fredrick throws a push kick but Benn Jr slaps the foot to one side.
We've been told by Benn Jr's head coaches at Cozad MMA LA Elite that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Fredrick steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Benn Jr.
Benn Jr feints and then cracks Fredrick's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fredrick down.
Benn Jr throws a series of punches but Fredrick avoids them all with ease.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fredrick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Benn Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Fredrick.

Fredrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Benn Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Fredrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Benn Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As Fredrick backs away, Benn Jr returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Nigel Benn Jr opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
Ronald Fredrick spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll see you soon!!!'.
