The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Gunnar throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gunnar throws a low kick, looking for Braddock's leg but Braddock calmly moves out of range.
Adam Gunnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunnar misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Braddock.
Gunnar thuds his right hand into Braddock's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gunnar looks to land a left hand but Braddock moved out of range nicely.
Gunnar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Braddock checks a leg kick.
Gunnar tries to score with a low kick but Braddock moves his leg out of the way.
Braddock wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Gunnar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Braddock circles away quickly and effectively.

Gunnar steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gunnar.

Braddock closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gunnar scores with a nice hook to the head.

Braddock tries a body shot but Gunnar blocks it.
Braddock throws a punch but it's blocked by Gunnar.

Gunnar is trying to break free.

Braddock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Braddock moves in looking to clinch but Gunnar pushes him off.

Braddock moves into range and clinches up with Gunnar.
Braddock gets through Gunnar's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

That has opened up Adam Gunnar's cut even more.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Braddock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Braddock connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gunnar momentarily.

Gunnar is rocked!
Braddock looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Braddock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gunnar.
Braddock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Braddock has managed to clinch.
Braddock pushes Gunnar back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Braddock drops Gunnar onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gunnar is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Gunnar is still on wobbly legs! Can Braddock finish him?

The cut above Adam Gunnar's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gunnar glances at the clock... BAM! Braddock nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Gunnar crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Gunnar is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Braddock!
John Braddock bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
