PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cardo Dalisay (ranked 5095 p4p, 374 weight class) and Naruto Uzumaki (ranked 6800 p4p, 429 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cardo Dalisay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naruto Uzumaki!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzumaki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Uzumaki shoots for a double leg takedown but Dalisay sprawls well. He's pushed Uzumaki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Uzumaki shoots in looking for a takedown. Dalisay tries to sprawl out of it but Uzumaki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dalisay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Uzumaki dives in and grabs Dalisay's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dalisay pushes down on Uzumaki's head and hops out.
Cardo Dalisay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naruto Uzumaki.
Dalisay gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dalisay misses with an elbow strike.
Uzumaki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dalisay gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dalisay lands a left hand that snaps the head of Uzumaki backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Uzumaki being controlled against the cage.
Uzumaki can't get the takedown.
Uzumaki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dalisay gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dalisay throws an elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dalisay wants to get back to striking at distance but Uzumaki won't allow it.
Uzumaki fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dalisay gets underhooks to prevent Uzumaki's takedown attempt.
Dalisay throws an elbow that misses.
Dalisay scores with a shot to the side of Uzumaki's head.
Uzumaki tries to score a body lock takedown but Dalisay shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Uzumaki gets control of Dalisay's arms and successfully pulls guard. Uzumaki will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Dalisay being controlled here momentarily.
Dalisay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Uzumaki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dalisay has managed to get both his arms back between Uzumaki's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Uzumaki has a closed guard, preventing Dalisay from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Uzumaki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dalisay is aware though and is defending well.
Dalisay has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Uzumaki to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Dalisay is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Uzumaki pulls down on the head and he's put Dalisay to sleep! This one is all over!
