The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Lyons gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Lyons tries to escape but Chekepara has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Chekepara tries to get the hooks in deep but Lyons pushed the leg off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lyons tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chekepara is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Lyons is in real trouble.

Chekepara just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Lyons is trying to get back to his feet but Chekepara has full control of the position and if anything, Lyons has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Lyons really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
