The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyderko shoots in looking for a takedown but Li manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wyderko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Li closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Li gets control of Wyderko's arms and successfully pulls guard. Li will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wyderko is fighting to break Li's control of his arms but Li is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Li has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Wyderko has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Li has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wyderko uses from the top position.

Li seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
