The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcone shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Pontes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Falcone is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pontes is surviving well by controlling Falcone's body position as best he can.
Falcone working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Falcone looking for a guillotine from mount but Pontes is having none of it.
Pontes is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Falcone wants to finish this one by submission but Pontes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Falcone.
Pontes regains half guard.
Pontes misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Falcone is looking for a kimura but Pontes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Falcone to get the leverage.
Pontes gets back to full guard.
Falcone is breathing heavily.
Pontes throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Pontes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Falcone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Pontes is tightening it up a little... Falcone has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Falcone reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Falcone taps out! nice BJJ there by Pontes!
