Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antonio May!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommy Hank!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hank clinches up with May and pushes him back against the cage.
May tries a body shot but Hank blocks it.

Hank breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
May shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hank as he avoids it easily.

May shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hank has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but May is on him like a limpet, forcing Hank back against the cage.
Hank tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. May smiles and moves away.
Tommy Hank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hank gets a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hank is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but May is defending well.
May misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hank.

May clinches with his opponent.
May could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hank can't get the takedown.
Antonio May has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Hank.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as May takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

May being controlled here, momentarily.
May is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hank is controlling him.
Hank not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

May is looking for a triangle here but Hank uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

May is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hank off and has taken his back!
May throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
May thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

May is throwing strikes but Hank counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Hank regains half guard.

May defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hank.

May shoots in looking for a takedown but Hank manages to keep the fight standing, pushing May's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

May connects with a couple of short punches.

Hank scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at May to see if he's OK.
May is not content to let Hank control the position.

May changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Hank leaves May with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A decent looking cross lands there for Hank.

May wants to get back to his feet.

May tries to kick Hank off but Hank keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Hank works his foot free and advances to mount.
May working to try and regain half guard.
Hank looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

May drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hank sprawls and moves away.
Hank tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but May defends well and Hank ends up having to push May into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
