Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Winter (ranked 2423 p4p, 275 weight class) and Frank Wildhauser (ranked 1136 p4p, 147 weight class). Winter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Danger Zone. Mark Winter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winter stuffs the takedown.
Winter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Wildhauser closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Winter's guard.
Wildhauser slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Winter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wildhauser pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Winter is keeping the position for now.
Wildhauser trying to control but Winter is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wildhauser controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Wildhauser trying to control the position from guard on top but Winter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Winter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wildhauser is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Wildhauser moves into the clinch successfully.

Come on Wildhauser - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Winter blocking some punches.
Wildhauser fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Wildhauser gets underhooks to prevent Winter's takedown attempt.
Winter blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Winter tries for a takedown. No joy.
Come on Wildhauser - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Winter is working for takedown but Wildhauser is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Winter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wildhauser is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Winter is defending well for now.
Wildhauser prevents the takedown attempt.
Wildhauser tries to throw a body punch but Winter avoids it by throwing Wildhauser back against the cage.

Winter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wildhauser avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Winter looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Wildhauser throws a punch but it's blocked by Winter.

Wildhauser gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Winter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wildhauser content to stall in guard here.

Wildhauser advances to half guard.
Well, if Wildhauser is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Wildhauser uses his free foot to push down on Winter's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Winter.
Winter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wildhauser on the ground.

Wildhauser looking for a guillotine from mount but Winter is having none of it.

Wildhauser jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Winter manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wildhauser is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Winter will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Winter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Winter tries to get out of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Winter is looking for a sweep.
Wildhauser is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Winter's shoulder. That is not cool.
Wildhauser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Winter keeps working.
Winter is trying to get back to half guard.

Wildhauser in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Winter is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Frank Wildhauser!
A very excited looking Frank Wildhauser made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
