PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Swingewood (ranked 3527 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salahdine Parnasse (ranked 4344 p4p, 0 weight class). Swingewood has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swingewood shoots in for a takedown but Parnasse shows good takedown defense.
Swingewood is breathing heavily.

Swingewood gets tackled into the cage by Parnasse. Parnasse maintains the clinch.
Parnasse is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Swingewood pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Parnasse slows down the pace here.
Parnasse tries to pull guard but Swingewood won't allow it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Parnasse is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Swingewood can't fight it off and eventually Parnasse manages to take the fight to the floor. Swingewood looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Swingewood is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Parnasse dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parnasse wants to stand but Swingewood is controlling his arm.

Parnasse remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Parnasse passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Swingewood!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Parnasse cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Swingewood takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Parnasse looking to control but Swingewood is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Parnasse has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swingewood has left one of his arms exposed and Parnasse doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Swingewood screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
