Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Badr Houdoe (ranked 2782 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fransisco Gonzalez (ranked 3022 p4p, 0 weight class). Badr Houdoe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fransisco Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houdoe throws a sloppy head kick
and Gonzalez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Houdoe won't be happy with that.
Gonzalez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Houdoe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gonzalez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Houdoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Gonzalez throws a solid leg kick but Houdoe takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Gonzalez.
Houdoe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gonzalez as he avoids it easily.
Gonzalez throws a nice looking combination but Houdoe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Houdoe connects with a leg kick. Gonzalez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gonzalez shoots for a double leg takedown but Houdoe sprawls well. He's pushed Gonzalez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gonzalez is pressed up against the cage. Houdoe has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gonzalez down to the mat. Gonzalez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Houdoe is looking to control Gonzalez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Houdoe avoid being mounted?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gonzalez tries for a takedown but Houdoe circles away easily
and Houdoe counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gonzalez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Houdoe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Houdoe leaves Gonzalez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gonzalez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Houdoe, pushing him back against the cage.
Gonzalez is stalling here.
Houdoe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gonzalez walks away with a smile on his face. Houdoe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gonzalez catches Houdoe with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Gonzalez closes the distance and clinches.
Houdoe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gonzalez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Gonzalez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Houdoe can't fight it off and eventually Gonzalez manages to take the fight to the floor. Houdoe looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well Gonzalez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
