Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Banks (ranked 3074 p4p, 331 weight class) and Khalamedov Nurmagabeeb (ranked 3177 p4p, 338 weight class). Nurmagabeeb comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sabine Kors feat. Timaro - Dagestan (Remix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks walks into a jab.
Banks shoots in but no luck this time.
Nurmagabeeb scores with a sloppy right hand. Banks should have avoided that one.
Nurmagabeeb scores with a body shot.

Banks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nurmagabeeb.
Banks has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Nurmagabeeb lands with a good body shot.
Banks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nurmagabeeb defends it nicely.
Nurmagabeeb takes a swing at Banks's ribcage but misses.
Banks appears to be looking for a big counter.
Banks misses with a hook. Nurmagabeeb ducked under it nicely.
Banks on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Nurmagabeeb cracks a nice hook into Banks's ribs.

Nurmagabeeb feints a jab promting Banks to slip. Nurmagabeeb then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Banks slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Nurmagabeeb lands a right hook to the body.
Nurmagabeeb wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nurmagabeeb just misses with a punch to the body.
Nurmagabeeb tests Banks's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Banks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nurmagabeeb misses with a wild combination.
As Nurmagabeeb looks to move away, Banks throws a big counter combo but Nurmagabeeb just gets out of the way.
Banks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nurmagabeeb manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nurmagabeeb is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Banks takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Nurmagabeeb throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Banks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Banks is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Nurmagabeeb.
Nurmagabeeb cracks Banks with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Banks gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nurmagabeeb is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Banks had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Nurmagabeeb darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Banks darts in looking for a takedown but Nurmagabeeb gets double underhooks and turns Banks into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ian Banks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nurmagabeeb scores with a jab to the head.
Banks takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nurmagabeeb looks to land a combination. Banks sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Nurmagabeeb lands with a cross.
Khalamedov Nurmagabeeb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurmagabeeb throws a shot to the body.
Banks moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nurmagabeeb displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Banks.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nurmagabeeb lands a left and a right that send Banks crashing to the mat, dazed. Nurmagabeeb thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Banks is rocked!

After the fight, Khalamedov Nurmagabeeb was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
