Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hanma Yosuji (ranked 5689 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Jahn (ranked 8378 p4p, 0 weight class). Ron Jahn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Jahn!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jahn clobbers Yosuji with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Yosuji throws a combination that misses

and Jahn counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jahn jumps guard but Yosuji stands there with Jahn around his waist. Jahn gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jahn has hold of one of Yosuji's legs. Yosuji is fighting the takedown attempt but Jahn gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Yosuji manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jahn leaves Yosuji with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Yosuji really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jahn tries for a takedown but Yosuji manages to get underhooks.
Yosuji has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jahn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jahn wants the takedown. Yosuji is fighting it off but Jahn persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Yosuji's guard against the cage.

Yosuji sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Yosuji goes for an armbar but Jahn turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jahn.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yosuji wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Jahn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Jahn wants to get up but he can't break Yosuji's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Yosuji tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jahn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yosuji somewhat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Yosuji looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jahn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jahn throws a right hand that Yosuji ducks under and follows up with a left that Yosuji also avoids with ease.
It looked like Yosuji was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
No luck for Jahn with that takedown attempt.

Yosuji shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jahn as he jumps to the side.
Jahn looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Yosuji jumps guard but Jahn stands there with Yosuji around his waist. Yosuji gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Yosuji is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jahn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jahn shrugs it off.

Yosuji is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jahn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Yosuji is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jahn has managed to escape the submission attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jahn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yosuji fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jahn avoids it really well and circles away.
Ron Jahn seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Yosuji shoots for a double leg takedown but Jahn sprawls well. He's pushed Yosuji's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Despite the aggression on Jahn's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Hanma Yosuji overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jahn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
