Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Randy RoboTessin (ranked 2840 p4p, 299 weight class) and Leo Granite (ranked 3953 p4p, 390 weight class). Leo Granite has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy RoboTessin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leo Granite!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
RoboTessin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Granite.
Granite throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and RoboTessin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Granite is trying to escape back to his feet but RoboTessin uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Granite tries to buck RoboTessin off but RoboTessin is having none of it.
RoboTessin avoids the strikes from the bottom by Granite.
Granite is looking to reverse the position.
RoboTessin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

RoboTessin throws a lazy right hand but Granite sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Granite is fighting off a takedown attempt but RoboTessin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Granite to the mat. Granite regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Granite manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Granite is pressed up against the cage. RoboTessin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Granite down to the mat. Granite avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Granite tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but RoboTessin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Granite dives in and grabs RoboTessin's left leg, looking for a takedown. RoboTessin pushes down on Granite's head and hops out.

Granite is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and RoboTessin dives into side control.

RoboTessin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



RoboTessin shoots in and gets a takedown into Granite's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as RoboTessin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

RoboTessin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

RoboTessin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and RoboTessin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
RoboTessin loads up on a big left hand. Granite felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - RoboTessin looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Granite can't hide his disappointment, as RoboTessin celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy RoboTessin!
Our winner, Randy RoboTessin, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
