Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson forces Damage back against the ropes and clinches.
Damage has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Svensson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Svensson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Damage gets his way!

Damage had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Svensson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Damage Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Svensson's back instead.

I really don't envy Svensson right now.
Svensson just trying to survive but Damage is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Damage is looking for the choke from the back position but Svensson is controlling his hands well.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Svensson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Damage, who protects the arm well.
Damage is looking to regain half guard here but Svensson keeps moving and retains side control.

Damage looking to sit in guard and control but Svensson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Damage looking for a guillotine here but Svensson defends easily.

Damage bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Svensson's guard.
Damage is trying to land a reversal but Svensson doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle. Svensson is tightening it up though! This could be trouble for Damage! Damage trying desperately to escape but he's gone limp! He's out! Wooooorld class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Svensson!
