Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, El Misterioso Damballah!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damballah tests Reilly's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A jab lands there for Damballah.
Reilly is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reilly takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Reilly connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Damballah digs a good hook to Reilly's body.
Damballah lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Damballah lands with a good body shot.
Damballah misses with a straight left.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Damballah swings for the body but Reilly moves out of range.
Reilly tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Damballah manages to circle out of the way.
Damballah lands with a nice body punch.

Reilly moves into the clinch.

Damballah pulls guard effortlessly.
Damballah manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reilly manages to get himself to full guard.

Reilly is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Damballah looking to sit in guard and control but Reilly gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Reilly trying to control the position from guard on top but Damballah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Damballah working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Reilly has passed into half guard!
Still in half guard, Reilly seems content to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reilly's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Damballah looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Damballah is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Reilly has latched onto it... Big trouble! Reilly pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Damballah is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Reilly!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frank Reilly!
Frank Reilly seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
