Johnson has chosen Mandoza - Nkalakatha as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shaka Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Johnson misses.

Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Silva lands with a short shot to the head.

Silva pulls guard.
Johnson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Johnson passes Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Johnson stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Silva really is a fat lump.
Let's hope that Johnson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Johnson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Johnson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.
Still in half guard, Johnson seems content to control.
It looks like Johnson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Johnson.

Johnson decides to stand and escape the position.

Johnson blocks an uppercut.

Silva pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Johnson digs a good hook to Silva's body.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Johnson clinches with his opponent.
Johnson scores with a shoulder strike.

Johnson manages to break the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Silva walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.


It looks like Clarence Silva has been cut.

Johnson scores with a takedown into Silva's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Johnson stands up and beckons Silva to join him on the feet.
Johnson plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Silva swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Silva face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shaka Johnson!
After the fight, Shaka Johnson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
