The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregory gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sigthordisson cracks Gregory with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sigthordisson. That's going to slow Gregory down.
Sigthordisson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gregory has time to react.

Sigthordisson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gregory will feel that in the morning.
Sigthordisson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Sigthordisson shoots in but no luck this time.
Gregory takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Sigthordisson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gregory.
Gregory has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gregory there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sigthordisson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gregory had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sigthordisson's coach down at Island Safe Space was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sigthordisson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A punch lands to the side of Gregory 's head but he takes it in his stride.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sigthordisson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gregory has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gregory dives in for a single leg takedown but Sigthordisson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Sigthordisson throws an overhand right that drops Gregory like a sack of potatoes! Sigthordisson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
