Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Takahashi Ryu!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryu lands a jab to the head.
Llosa gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Ryu.
Llosa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ryu just stands there and leans against the cage.
Llosa successfully pulls guard.
Ryu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ryu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Llosa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Llosa can't keep his opponent in guard - Ryu advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ryu prevents Llosa from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Llosa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ryu on the ground.
Ryu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Llosa defends it well.
Llosa wants to improve his position but Ryu is controlling well.

Ryu is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Llosa has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ryu. Oh but Llosa has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ryu goes limp - he's gone! Llosa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ernesto Llosa!
Ernesto Llosa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
