The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Roach bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Guy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Roach looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Roach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Roach gets back to half guard.
Roach tries to kick Guy off but Guy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Roach could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Guy is pressing down on Roach's thigh, looking to free his foot. Roach is holding on for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy wants to free his trapped foot but Roach is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roach. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Guy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Roach napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Roach is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Guy has his hands clasped together but Roach extends and breaks Guy's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Roach.
