The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martine checks the leg kick nicely there.

Martine takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Link fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Martine is breathing heavily.
Link throws a low kick but it's checked well by Martine.

Martine is rocked!
Martine chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Link can pounce on him.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Link dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Martine. That did some damage!

Martine shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Link tries to kick Martine off but Martine keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Link is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Martine is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Link!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
