The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salmon tries for a takedown but Herbalist sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Salmon swats away the attempt to clinch by Herbalist.
Salmon appears to be looking for a big counter.

Herbalist moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Herbalist shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salmon pinned against the cage. Salmon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Herbalist is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salmon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Herbalist drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Herbalist misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Salmon.
Salmon wants to break free but Herbalist has control.
Salmon gets control of Herbalist's arms and successfully pulls guard. Salmon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salmon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salmon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
A lull in the action here as Salmon stalls from top position.

Herbalist is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Salmon's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Salmon! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Herbalist has tapped! This one is allllll over!
