The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Jahr. Mercer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mercer went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jahr throws a sloppy body shot
and Mercer counters with a one-two to the body.
Jahr lands a jab to the nose.

Jahr clinches up against the cage.
Jahr lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Mercer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jahr has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jahr lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jahr lands an uppercut.
Mercer tries to stall but Jahr uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jahr lands a hook that snaps the head of Mercer backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jahr lands with a short shot to the head.
Jahr blocks the elbow strike.
Mercer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Mercer misses with a short punch on the inside.

Jahr lands a right hand.
Mercer is looking to control Jahr's arms but Jahr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mercer has his back to the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Jahr.
Jahr lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jahr creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mercer is rocked!

Jahr drops Mercer onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Mercer is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Oh Mercer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jahr pushes Mercer against the cage. Jahr is working some dirty boxing. Jahr pushes off with a quick right hook! Mercer goes down! Mercer tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Jahr moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
