Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rowche Rumble (ranked 4950 p4p, 473 weight class) and Markus Androula (ranked 4215 p4p, 414 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Androula connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Androula bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Androula tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Rumble fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Androula manages to avoid it.

Rumble uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Androula has time to react.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rumble. Androula does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rumble tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Androula was well out of range. Poor timing from Rumble.

Androula's coach down at Fallen Angels was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Androula's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Androula slips a straight right by Rumble.
Rumble misses with a wild body shot.
And Androula tries to counter it with a takedown but Rumble pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Rumble closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rumble lands in his opponent's guard.

Androula uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rumble throws a series of punches but Androula avoids them all with ease.
Androula drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Rumble defends it well.
Androula connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Rumble takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Androula has managed to clinch.

Rumble is struggling to control the position.
Rumble avoids a wild elbow strike from Androula.
Androula lands an elbow just above Rumble 's eye.

That was a close round but I would say that Rowche Rumble will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A nice right hand lands inside from Rumble.

Androula tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rumble throws a big uppercut that drops Androula! More strikes from Rumble and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Androula lies dazed against the cage as Rumble celebrates with his cornermen!
