The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malice shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Scanlan sprawls well. Scanlan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Malice gets slowly back to his feet.

Scanlan stuffs the takedown.
Malice shoots in but Scanlan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darth Malice. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Malice slips a jab from Scanlan.

Scanlan drops Malice with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Malice looks back up at him and smiles so Scanlan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scanlan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Malice gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Scanlan counters with a crisp right hand that drops Malice! Scanlan lets Malice back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Malice is rocked!
Scanlan misses with a hook.
Oh Malice is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Malice.
Malice seems to have got his legs back now.

Scanlan cracks Malice with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Malice looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Scanlan finish him?
Scanlan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jordan Scanlan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Scanlan throws an overhand right that drops Malice like a sack of potatoes! Scanlan dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
