Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gabriel Skrarski!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skrarski shoots in but no luck this time.
Cage has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Cage showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Skrarski.

Cage gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Skrarski to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cage seems keen to control Skrarski's posture.
Skrarski trying to move into half guard but instead Cage has managed to sweep!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cage wants to control from the top but Skrarski keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Skrarski holds on and takes a little breather.
Skrarski looking for a sweep. Not yet Skrarski, not yet.

Skrarski trying to keep a closed guard but Cage is proving a slippery customer.
Cage controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Skrarski looking for a guillotine here but Cage defends easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cage prevents Skrarski from getting back to his feet.
Skrarski looking to control.
Skrarski throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Skrarski takes one to the chin there.
Cage works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Cage gets caught flat footed, as Skrarski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Skrarski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Skrarski trying to control the position from guard on top but Cage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Skrarski throwing strikes but missing.
Skrarski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cage works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Skrarski working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Cage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cage tries to get out of the position.

Skrarski wants to control from the top but Cage keeps moving.
Skrarski advances position into side control!
Skrarski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cage keeps working.
Cage on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Skrarski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Skrarski working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Skrarski is looking to take a break and control but Cage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Skrarski working the strikes but Cage uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Skrarski wants to pass the guard but Cage is defending well.
Skrarski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Skrarski dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A looping hook to the body misses from Cage. Skrarski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Skrarski looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Cage lands a nice looking body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Skrarski is defended easily by Cage.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cage darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Cage lands with a right hand.
Skrarski pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cage tests Skrarski's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cage stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cage wants it to stay on the feet.
Skrarski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cage's waist but Cage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Skrarski off to one side.
Luke Cage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Skrarski.
Nice uppercut lands for Cage. That snapped Skrarski's head back.


It looks like Gabriel Skrarski has been cut.
Cage takes a swing at Skrarski's ribcage but misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Skrarski! But no joy.
No luck for Skrarski with that takedown attempt.
Cage was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cage slaps away a takedown attempt from Skrarski, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cage swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cage scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Cage comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cage lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Skrarski circles away quickly and effectively.
Skrarski takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Skrarski is breathing heavily.
A bone on bone clash there as Cage blocks the leg kick.

Cage lands a big right hand that sends Skrarski crashing to the mat! Cage stays standing though and waves Skrarski back to his feet!


Skrarski is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cage cracks Skrarski with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Skrarski tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Cage pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Skrarski is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Cage!
Luke Cage was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
