The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boone clinches with his opponent.

Boone throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Matusovs head.

Boone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Matusov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boone circles away.
Matusov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Matusov tries for a takedown but Boone manages to get underhooks.

Matusov shoots in and drives through. Boone sprawls well.

Oooooh!!! Boone has knocked Matusov down with a huge combo! Boone steps away and waves a wobbly Matusov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Boone presses Matusov against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Boone looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Matusov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Boone pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Boone lands a big right hand that drops Matusov! The killer instinct kicks in and Boone finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Boone!

Jackson Boone was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
