Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Candy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagat comes to the cage accompanied by His own theme music. Candy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by To Catch a Predator. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Candy keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Sagat throws a body kick that misses.
Candy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Candy wants to control the pace but Sagat is squirming around nicely.
Candy goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sagat turns into him and now he's in Candy's guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sagat in particular looking to stall.
Candy wants to control but Sagat is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sagat finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Candy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sagat - the referee stops the clock and Candy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sagat. Candy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Victor Sagat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sagat throws out a leg kick but Candy moves out of range and Sagat only half commits.

Candy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sagat's waist but Sagat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Candy off to one side.
Victor Sagat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sagat throws a front kick aimed at Candy's knee but Candy avoids it well.

Sagat throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Candy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sagat tries to avoid it but Candy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sagat to the ground. Sagat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Candy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sagat with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Candy looks to land a strike but Sagat avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Van Candy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sagat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
