The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanningfield just misses with a punch to the body.
Amery shoots and misses
and Tanningfield counters with a single leg into guard. Amery didn't expect that.
Tanningfield is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Tanningfield scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Tanningfield pushes down on Amery's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tanningfield lands a nice short elbow.
Amery is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tanningfield scores with a couple of nice shots.

Tanningfield looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Amery with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Amery tries to get to full guard but Tanningfield has control of the leg.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tanningfield connects with a nice short shot to Amery's temple.

Tanningfield looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Amery has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tanningfield is working away from the top position though.
Amery is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Tanningfield jumps into side control!
Amery tries to improve position but can't.
Tanningfield cracks Amery with a big elbow.
Amery manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tanningfield's best efforts.
Tanningfield takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Amery is still in real trouble! Can Tanningfield finish him?

Tanningfield lands a big elbow - Amery is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Tanningfield!
