On his way into the cage it seems that Michael Stone has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Michael Stone seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate throws a leg kick

and Stone counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Tate is looking to improve his position.
Stone trying to pass the guard but Tate defending well.
Tate taking some punishment here, with Stone in his half guard.
Tate wants to control but Stone is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone works his foot free and advances to mount.

The referee warns Tate that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Stone looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

That has opened up Tommy Tate 's cut even more.
Stone is landing with some decent strikes but Tate is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Tate wants to hold on but Stone pushes him away.
Tate really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stone connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The cut above Tommy Tate 's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Tommy Tate 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tommy Tate 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
