The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Michael. No joy for Jay on that attempt.
Michael is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

A quick step to the side and Michael tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Michael quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Jay misses with a two punch combination.
ah Jay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jay dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Jay will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Michael takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Michael shoots in for a double leg but Jay sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jay lands with an uppercut that bounces Michael off the cage and back into range.
Michael closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jay circles away.

Jay looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Michael is fending him off so far but Jay persists. Nope, Michael circles away and we're back to standing.
Michael closes the distance and clinches up with Jay, looking for a takedown. Michael pushes Jay against the cage but Jay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jay goes for a double leg but Michael avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Michael continues to drive forward.
Michael jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Michael slips a jab and a cross from Jay.
Jay is breathing heavily.
Jay swinging wildly here.
A counter left hand to the body from Michael misses its target.
Jay tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jay lands a head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Michael shoots in for a takedown but Jay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Michael tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jay sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Michael somewhat.

Some wild striking there from Jay.
Jay shoots for a double leg takedown but Michael sprawls well. He's pushed Jay's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jay looks to land a combination. Michael sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Michael is rocked!
Jay fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Oh Michael is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jay fakes the body blow, causing Michael to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Michael goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
