The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
aguilera keeps the fight on the outside.

aguilera shoots in and bounces Toveri off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

aguilera thows a huge punch but Toveri dodges it nicely.
aguilera has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee warns Toveri that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Toveri's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
aguilera postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Toveri looks a forlorn figure.

aguilera postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Toveri in real trouble here! The ref calls for Toveri to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
