Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chi Berry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leonnis Asskickus!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asskickus scores with a jab to the body.
Asskickus moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Asskickus scores with a head kick. Berry tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Chi Berry has been cut.

Asskickus is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Berry's half guard.
Asskickus not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Berry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Asskickus is taking a breather. Berry says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Asskickus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Berry wants to control the action here but instead Asskickus manages to pass to full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Berry is trying to escape the mount but Asskickus keeps good control and instead manages to take Berry's back.

Berry is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Asskickus gets his way!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Asskickus might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Asskickus. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Asskickus's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Asskickus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Berry napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Berry is not content to let Asskickus control the position.

Asskickus stands up and beckons Berry to his feet.

Asskickus closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Berry has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Asskickus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Asskickus landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Asskickus jumps into guard, dragging Berry to the mat.
Asskickus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Asskickus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Berry's guard.

Leonnis Asskickus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Asskickus shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Berry is trying to defend but Asskickus finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Asskickus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Asskickus looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Asskickus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Berry is just riding it out for now. Asskickus eventually gives up the hold.

Asskickus wants to control but Berry is keeping him busy.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Berry tries to roll over but Asskickus keeps him under control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Asskickus fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Berry to the ground. Asskickus is now in Berry's guard.
Asskickus is looking to advance position but Berry has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Berry connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Asskickus tries to hold on but Berry postures up.

Berry goes for an armbar but Asskickus turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Asskickus.
Asskickus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Berry pulls Asskickus in close to his closed guard and prevents Asskickus from doing any damage or advancing position.
Asskickus throws a big right hand that misses.
Berry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Asskickus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Asskickus is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Berry is looking to sweep but instead, Asskickus has passed into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Berry has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Asskickus is working away from the top position though.

Asskickus is working for a kimura but Berry is defending it quite comfortably.
Chi Berry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Leonnis Asskickus is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Asskickus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
