Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Osgood (ranked 7474 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zapi Zap (ranked 6791 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Nathan Osgood has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nathan Osgood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zapi Zap!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osgood shoots in looking for a takedown. Zap tries to sprawl out of it but Osgood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zap manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Osgood tries to clinch there but Zap circles away.
Despite the aggression on Zap's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Osgood throws a head kick that Zap semi-blocks.

It looks like Zapi Zap has been cut.

Osgood gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Zap jumps guard but Osgood stands there with Zap around his waist. Zap gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Osgood is fighting off a takedown attempt but Zap is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Osgood to the mat. Osgood regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Osgood is trying to control the position but Zap postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zap keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Osgood's head.
Osgood controls Zap momentarily but Zap frees himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zap not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Osgood is trying to control the position but Zap postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zap stays in close to Osgood's body and controls the position.
Zap wants to stand but Osgood has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Osgood shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zap defends it nicely.
Zap slaps away a takedown attempt from Osgood, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Osgood. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zap looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Osgood!
Osgood tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Zap working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Osgood is doing well to defend. Zap seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Osgood is forced to tap and this one is over!
