With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Claremont!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Red!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Red scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Claremont definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Claremont is positioning himself well to prevent Red advancing to mount.
Red wants to free his trapped foot but Claremont is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Red is looking to take a break and control but Claremont is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Red seems to be working for a kimura but Claremont defends the submission attempt.

Nice straight punches there by Claremont. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Claremont.
Red takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Claremont buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Claremont changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Nice shot lands for Claremont.

Red rushes Claremont and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Claremont breaks the clinch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Claremont, right into the meat.
Red tries for a takedown but Claremont sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Claremont swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Red fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Claremont is out of range.
Red has his takedown stuffed
and Claremont counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


Red is rocked!
Brian Claremont has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Red.
Red takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Red is still on wobbly legs! Can Claremont finish him?
Claremont connects with a right hand. Red shakes it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Claremont dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Red on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Claremont displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Red throws out the jab.
Red seems to have recovered his senses.

Red has closed the distance and engaged Claremont in a clinch.

Claremont is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A lazy left from Claremont finds it's target.
George Red is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Claremont fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Red looks to score with a jab to the body but Claremont is just out of range.
Claremont swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Claremont counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Red thinking.

Brian Claremont has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Red.
Red misses with a body shot
and Claremont counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Red shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Claremont pinned against the cage. Claremont gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A swing and a miss from Red.
Red tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Red takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Claremont connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Red tries to land a body kick
and Claremont counters with a leg kick.
Red closes the distance looking to clinch
and Claremont counters with an inside leg kick.
Red goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Red walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Red shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Claremont as he jumps to the side.
Red takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Red darts in looking for a takedown but Claremont gets double underhooks and turns Red into the cage.
Claremont is looking to counter the offense by Red and move into the clinch.
Claremont is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Red fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Claremont throws out a powerful jab.

Claremont cracks Red with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Red looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Claremont finish him?
Claremont drops Red with a huge uppercut! Red drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Claremont is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
