Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dukey Tots (ranked 2792 p4p, 385 weight class) and Mike Mikson (ranked 3523 p4p, 454 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tots shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mikson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mikson is trying to escape the position but Tots is controlling the position.
You can see the frustration on Mikson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mikson sneaks back into half guard.
Mikson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tots scores with a couple of nice shots.
Tots prevents Mikson from improving his position.
Tots throwing shots but Mikson is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tots looking for a submission but Mikson manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tots accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tots's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Mikson is looking for a triangle but Tots pushes his legs off easily.

Mikson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Tots throws a big elbow that misses.
Tots trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Tots has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mikson working for submissions but it's allowed Tots to get to half guard.

Tots thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mikson's head.

Tots is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tots is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mikson defends it well.
Mikson is controlling Tots's trapped leg to prevent Tots from advancing to side control.
Mikson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tots is working away from the top position though.
Tots wants to pass the guard but Mikson is defending well.
Mikson works his way to full guard. Good work.

Mikson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tots defends well.
