Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Timothy Woodward (ranked 5707 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamed Gouffi (ranked 5730 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Woodward looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Gouffi!

Gouffi explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Woodward could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gouffi gets a double leg takedown into Woodward's guard.

Woodward is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Woodward is working for takedown but Gouffi is calmly controlling the position for now.
Woodward tries for a takedown but Gouffi manages to get underhooks.
Gouffi is trying to break the clinch but Woodward has him pressed against the cage.
Gouffi is trying to force a seperation but Woodward has the dominant position.
Woodward tries to pull guard but Gouffi forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timothy Woodward. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Woodward tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Gouffi pulls guard.
Gouffi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Woodward trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gouffi's guard.

Gouffi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gouffi keeping moving, preventing Woodward from controlling successfully.
Gouffi has a closed guard, preventing Woodward from standing up.
Gouffi pulls Woodward in close to his closed guard and prevents Woodward from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Woodward wants to stand but Gouffi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Woodward tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gouffi is trying to push Woodward away but Woodward has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Woodward drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gouffi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Woodward looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gouffi is fending him off so far but Woodward persists. Nope, Gouffi circles away and we're back to standing.

Gouffi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Woodward is breathing heavily.

Gouffi stands up from half guard.

Gouffi pushes Woodward up against the cage in a clinch.

Woodward tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gouffi smiles and moves away.
Woodward throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gouffi's waist but Gouffi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Woodward off to one side.

Gouffi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Woodward changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gouffi fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gouffi gets the takedown into side control.
Woodward wants to get back to his feet but Gouffi is dominant here and he's now got Woodward's back!
Woodward has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Gouffi.
Gouffi keeps control of the position easily here as Woodward tries to buck him off.

Gouffi thows a strike but Woodward uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Woodward as he ends up in Gouffi 's guard!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gouffi is trying to keep Woodward in close.
Gouffi wants to get back to his feet but Woodward is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gouffi has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Woodward is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Woodward tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gouffi just stands there and leans against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mohamed Gouffi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Timothy Woodward has been cut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Woodward checks a leg kick.
Woodward takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Woodward is rocked!

Gouffi gets a big slam - oh, Woodward is out! Woodward is out! That's a nasty KO!
