Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kurtis Velasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Oliver Brent!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brent takes the fight into the clinch.
Velasquez pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Brent scores with a hook to the body.
Velasquez misses with a hook to the ribs.
Brent lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Velasquez.
Velasquez scores a nice knee to the body.
Velasquez tries to land knees in the clinch but Brent avoids the damage to the body.
Velasquez putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Brent in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Velasquez tries to work over Brent's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Velasquez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brent walks away with a smile on his face. Velasquez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brent lands with a hook. Velasquez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Brent scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Velasquez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Brent fails to land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Velasquez lands a nice knee to the body.

Velasquez jumps guard and drags Brent to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Brent would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Velasquez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Velasquez is in close to Brent's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Brent is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Velasquez dives into side control.
Brent wants to get back to his feet but Velasquez is dominant here and he's now got Brent's back!
Brent is trying to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brent is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Brent defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brent is trying to get back to his feet but Velasquez has full control of the position and if anything, Brent has just worked his way into a worse spot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Velasquez controls the action.
Velasquez has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Brent.
Brent is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Brent is trying to get back to his feet but Velasquez has full control of the position and if anything, Brent has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Velasquez slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brent wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Velasquez drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Brent 's chin! Brent is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kurtis Velasquez!
