PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adel Sadeq (ranked 1616 p4p, 196 weight class) and Mark Lee (ranked 4119 p4p, 389 weight class). Lee has chosen Look alive drake as his entrance music. Mark Lee told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Sadeq sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lee has his takedown stuffed

and Sadeq moves into the clinch.
Sadeq prevents a takedown attempt there.
Adel Sadeq has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Lee.

Lee lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sadeq manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Sadeq wants to stand and escape but Lee is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sadeq utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Sadeq is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sadeq bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard.

Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Sadeq distracts Lee with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lee is looking to stand up but Sadeq isn't so interested in that idea.
Sadeq passes Lee's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Sadeq looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Lee is trying to stand back up but Sadeq is controlling him
Sadeq working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sadeq takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Lee is rocked!
Lee is trying to control but can't.
Lee is still in real trouble! Can Sadeq finish him?
Nice strikes from Sadeq there.
Sadeq has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lee is looking to escape.
Sadeq seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee wants to control but Sadeq is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lee looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lee seems to have recovered his senses.
Sadeq lands a big elbow - Lee is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Sadeq!
