The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatmaitan throws a chopping leg kick but Danilov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Gatmaitan throws a leg kick but Danilov moved away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gatmaitan, right into the meat.
Danilov missing with a left hand there. Gatmaitan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gatmaitan throws a big counter head kick but Danilov avoids it with no problem.

Danilov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gatmaitan is trying to defend but Danilov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Gatmaitan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Danilov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Danilov in particular looking to stall.
Danilov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gatmaitan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Danilov lands a nice short elbow.
Gatmaitan holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Danilov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Danilov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gatmaitan defends it well.

Danilov maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gatmaitan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Danilov has cracked it and Gatmaitan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Danilov!
