PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cormac Mac Airt (ranked 1048 p4p, 126 weight class) and Mason Norris (ranked 1474 p4p, 183 weight class). Mac Airt comes to the cage accompanied by Wolf Blood. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris throws a lazy uppercut
and Mac Airt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Norris swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mac Airt counters with a stiff right hand.
Norris takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mac Airt missing with a left hand there. Norris was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mac Airt slips under a jab.
Norris scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A telegraphed right hand from Mac Airt misses the target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Norris! But no joy.
Mac Airt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Norris lunges at Mac Airt with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mac Airt's hand.

It looks like Cormac Mac Airt has been cut.
Norris displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mac Airt throws out the jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Norris! But no joy.

Mac Airt thuds his right hand into Norris's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Norris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mac Airt paws at him with a jab and circles away.
It looked like Mac Airt wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Norris looks to land a right hand but Mac Airt moved out of range.

Mac Airt drops Norris with a beautiful combination! Norris stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mac Airt is looking for the KO!

Norris is rocked!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Norris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mac Airt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Norris counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mac Airt thinking.
Mac Airt misses with a straight right.
Norris loads up on a big right hand but Mac Airt slips the punch.
Nice shot lands for Mac Airt.

Mac Airt lands a big right hand that sends Norris crashing to the mat! Mac Airt stays standing though and waves Norris back to his feet!
Norris is still on wobbly legs! Can Mac Airt finish him?
Mac Airt looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
BOOM! Mac Airt lands a beautiful left hook that drops Norris. Norris tries to recover but Mac Airt is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Norris lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
